Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 犯罪學研究所 === 93 === Family is an important unit of society. It also influences the development of juvenile delinquency. This research attempts to examine the relationships among the juvenile misdeed, the family structure, social control theory, and social learning theory. In addition, this study tries to establish a cause and effect relation model in order to analyze the relationships within the family structure, social control theory, social learning theory and the juvenile misdeed.
The data in this study came from the research of National Science Council in 1999 by Dr. Hou, Chung-Wen. Data is analyzed by the correlation, multiple regression and path analysis.
The findings of this study are as follows:
(1) Poor family structure is an important predictor of the juvenile misdeed, especially having the deviant members of higher proportion.
(2) The family structure affects juveniles’ social control and social learning. The better the family structure of the juvenile, the better the social control and social learning formed by the juvenile.
(3) Social control including self-control and social bond, affects the juvenile misdeed behavior. The better the social control of the juvenile, the less the juvenile misdeed.
(4) Social control affects social learning. If the juvenile has good social control, it is likely he will have better social learning.
(5) Social learning affects the juvenile misdeed. It is an intermediate variable that repressing the juvenile to be engaged in the misdeed.
