Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 統計學系 === 93 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of time management on studying habits in private high schools. An experiment was designed to train students the time management skills through the TQM process. Thus it will also teach the students how to properly plan their time in the future. The sample of this study is the high school students from Chih Ping Senior high school. I inquired into the performances of students in Chinese, English, and mathematics as my data for improvement in time management. This research uses both semester average scores in each subject area for the 92nd academic year and compares the average scores of the experimental group to the those of the control group in order to find out the influence the time management on studying habits. The following conclusions are drawn from this research. 1. High school student’s reaction to time management implementations High school students lack the effective use of time. Through the guidance of teacher and the request of tutor, the students in experimental group have already devoted significantly more time to study now that they increased their studying time from 47.4 min to 80 min every day. 2. The effects of time management on Chinese, English, and mathematics studies The comparison between the experimental group and the control group concluded that increasing studying time showed greater improvements in Chinese and mathematics courses and negligible improvement in English courses.
