Stratified sampling method is applied to investigate 600 aboriginal high school students in Taitung. 545 valid questionnaires are obtained, among which 265 males and 280 females are surveyed. The data is analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of varinace, tukey method, Pearson correlation. The results are as follows: 1. Aboriginal high school students have very positive leisure attitudes. The most positive one is reflected on leisure cognition, then leisure affection and the least one is leisure behavior. 2. Aboriginal high school students encounter lower leisure constraints when they participate in leisure activities. The highest constraints are structural ones and then interpersonal ones. The lowest constraints are individual inner ones. 3. There are significant differences of leisure attitudes among background variables. (1) There are significant differences of leisure attitudes among different genders, schools, mother’s education levels and allowances per month. (2) The vocational high school students with more positive leisure attitudes are those males whose mothers have the education level at high school. Their allowances per month are between 2001 and 3000 dollars. 4. There are significant differences of leisure constraints among background variables. (1) There are significant differences of leisure constraints among different genders, tribes, schools, attributes of schools, father’s vocation and allowances per month. (2) The students with higher leisure constraints are male Bununs who study in National Kuan-Shan Vocational Senior High School. Their fathers lose employment and their allowances per month are below 1000 dollars. 5. There is significantly negative relation between leisure attitudes and leisure constraints among aboriginal high school students. Based on the findings in this study, some suggestions are offered to the concerning authorities, schools, education administrations, aboriginal students and related researches for improving the leisure life of aboriginal high school students.
