碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 93 === The ancient question ‘appearance versus reality’ has been confusing us for long time.
The study aims to transform appearance and reality into three aspects and intends to probe and examine how possibly the richness/vigorousness and diverseness in the stories of children could be interpreted. Those aspects are:
1. clothing-looks
2. lie- swindling
3. truth-simulation
About those aspects, I am going to adopt pairs of binary concept- and attitude criteria so as to sort out the possibilities of higher synthesis via dialectic.
clothing-looks:Don’t judge a book by its cover.
←→Don’t disregard the power of clothing and looks.
lie- swindling:Lies should be condemned.
←→Honesty is not the best policy.
truth-simulation:There is only one truth which is worthful.
←→Value is unconcerned with true or fake ; there is not only one truth.
To sum it up, this study is carried out in the hope of offering people who stand on the human-life-stage an opportunity to re-evalutate the faith and synthesis through probing the stories of children in the process of examination.
