碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 管理研究所 === 93 === Abstract Recently, information technology has enormously applications in school administrative or planning operations. It not only reduces administrator’s workload, but also increases work efficiency and simplifies the administrative process. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) can provide timely and correct information for management and integrate cross-boundary operations. In this research, a preliminary study is conducted to explode the possibility of implementing the ERP theory in the School administration system. Thus, a new cross-functional process approach can create more effectively information communication among different departments. The two main theories adopted in this research are ERP and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). Because of the budget for the national universities in Taiwan is keep decreasing every year. The proper life cycle management of research equipment or facilities becomes more and more important. TPM is proven in the manufacturing industry to be a very useful approach in this regard. To develop an ERP system, demand definition, system integrity, and personnel training are the crucial areas to pay attention to for the system developer. Finally, it is found the property management system can be expanded for developing a new ERP based administrative system or be integrated into an existing one.
