Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 93 === Under the impetus of the 3c magnesium alloy components manufacturing process, the development of the Taiwan magnesium alloy die casting industry is progressing rapidly.More than 30 factories invest in the related industry, most of the factories use die casting process to produce magnesium alloy parts. In this paper we studied the characteristic、the present situation and future trends of the magnesium industry, using FIVE FORCES and the SWOT to analyze the domestic magnesium industry. Also this paper collected and analyzed the factors that affect the defects during the die casting process and then try to find the solution for solving die casting problem. Die casting is a process by which melted metal fills the die cavity under high pressure. The high productivity and good castability by virtue of fluidity of melted metal under pressure are the advantages of die casting. However, melted fluid filled into the die cavity at high speed often rolls up the air into the cavity, and results in porous defects in the casting parts. The main items discussed in this paper include the following points:drag、draft of casting parts in the mold、cavities/bubbles、the influence of different runners to casting parts, and etc. We try to find out the problems and their solutions in order to reduce incomplete filling in casting parts, this paper will offer ways to increase the proportion of fine quality in production.
