These compounds were as (1) 1,3-phenylenebis[4-(4-tetradecanoyl oxybenzoyloxybenzoate(Ba-1) and (2) N,N-bis[4-(4-n-4-tetradecanoyloxybenzoyloxy) Benzylidene] -phenylene-1,3-diamines(Ba-2),the phase sequence and transition temperature of compounds in the study were measured by DSC and POM. In polarization switching experiments, it was proven that bent-core liquid crystal having antiferroelectric character because of double peaks under the application of a triangular-wave electric field. We also discussed the dielectric behavior between high frequency and low frequency in the B2 phase.
