The development of Taiwan beverage industry started from the two product lines, carbonic acid beverage such as Marble soda and the fruit juice, which were very popular prior to 1970.The industry passed through rigorous competition and growth. Today the market has been saturated. To further develop products and manage the business, knowledge has become an important factor that will impact the survival of beverage companies.
The study is an exploratory one which investigates a well-established beverage company designed as A company. Primary data was obtained from interviewing key internal management members of the company. The secondary data was obtained form external sources such as internet, newspaper, magazine, and key governmental reports, etc.
The study starts from searching the literature and identifying the required infrastructure and implementation procedure for knowledge management, then use them to assess current status of knowledge management of A company.
The objectives of this study are as follows:
〈1〉 Collects knowledge that is critical to the sales and marketing products of a beverage company.
〈2〉 Searches for knowledge management theory that can be applied to the sales and marketing products of a beverage company.
〈3〉 Assesses current status of knowledge management of A company and makes suggestions.
