Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 景觀學系碩士班 === 93 === This study combines the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) with the Conjoint Analysis (CA) to estimate the benefits of the alternative changes in farmland‘s landscape. The landscape of farmland is defined by attributes and their levels .Crops, scenic plants, forest, and wild are the attributes selected to form the landscape of farmland. The levels of each attribute include 65%, 25%, and 5% of the total area of farmland under study. Each alternative landscape then is formed by the combination of areas planting crops, scenic plants, forest, and leaving it wild. There are 12 orthogonal landscape alternatives are finally identified for valuation. Five hundred households in Taipei metropolitan area (TMA) selected by a cluster sampling process are requested to rank their preferences over the 12 alternative landscape programs. By using the CA procedure in SPSS 11.0, the part-worths of attributes and the utilities of the alternative landscape changes are estimated. The willingness-to-pay(WTP) or the willingness-to-accept(WTA) for the changes of landscape of farmland are finally estimated by raising or lowering the pay-offs of the landscape program so as to lowering or raising utility level to the level received by the present landscape of the farmland. The major findings of this study are follows: (1). The total WTP for converting 65% of farmland into forest and 25% farmland into wild field in TMA is NT$. 7.5 billion per month.(2).The total WTP for converting 65% of farmland into wild field and 25% farmland into scenic plant in TMA is NT$. 4.7 billion Per month.(3). The total WTP for converting 65% of farmland into scenic plant and 25% farmland into forest in TMA is NT$. 3.0 billion per month.
