Under the pressure of time and the conflict of roles, it would affect the management of marital relationship. Therefore, this research aims at investigating if the elements of personal, marital, and family background will affect the marital satisfaction. This research primarily used the questionnaire investigation method and also offered one open question. The research object is the male and the female students of On-the-Job Master Program from Taiwan’s universities in 2002 and 2003. According to the region of Taiwan, we divided it into four sections---the North, the Middle, the South and the East. Further, by using the sampling, we got the valid questionnaire of 302, including 191 persons of male and 111 persons of female. After testing, the material data what we got were analyzed by Windows statistic software of SPSS 11.0, and we also used the analyses of statistics such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, simple regression, multiple regression and content analysis to analyze it. Research tells: (1) regardless the male’s or female’s students from on-the job master programs, they feet satisfied with their marital satisfaction. (2) from the respect of personal background, sex, tester’s life pressure and marital satisfaction before going into in-service master programs are the most important elements to predict the marital satisfaction. The marital satisfaction of female is higher than male. Furthermore, the higher the life pressure which in-service master program students have is, the lower the marital satisfaction which they get is. The higher the marital satisfaction which in-service master program students before going into the recurrent education have is, the higher the current marital satisfaction which they get is. (3) from the respect of spouse, the employment situations of spouse and the support and the attitude going into in-service master programs from the spouse are the most important elements to predict the marital satisfaction. According to the employment situations of in-service master program’s spouse, the marital satisfaction of their having a job is higher than that of jobless. The higher the support of in-service master program’s spouse offers, the higher the marital satisfaction which he or she get is. (4) from the respect of family background, the fairness of housework at present is the most important element to predict the marital satisfaction of on-the-job master program students. The fairer the present housework which in-service master program students feel is, the higher the marital satisfaction which they feel is. (5) According to the analysis of content through the interviewers of on-the-job master programs, we present the following 6 points of suggestion: (A) to understand each other members of a family. (B) to relate to each other members of a family. (C) to attitude towards the matrimony. (D) the scheme and management of time. (E) to make arrangements for house work (F) the aspect of self-attitude. Finally, according to the conclusion, we present the above concrete suggestions for the married adult students who are in-service master programs and the research topic in the future.
