Accounting and billing are beyond the scope of SIP. In this thesis, we specify how Radius, an AAA protocol, can be used for carrying accounting information between a SIP server and an accounting server. In this architecture, the SIP server acts as a client of the Radius server. Furthermore, we develop an application server by which bill for SIP users can be created monthly.
