At present, the Linux system was famous software of open source, become the enterprises to solve the information system demand’s important direction. In Taiwan, information service industry is the knowledge and technical. Since urbanization development, the northern area of e degree was highest. So the information system application’s demand more and more. The Linux system mature development was apply to enterprise’s information system. However, the enterprises had many problems to use the Linux system. The enterprises had not clear about cognition of the Linux system. The Linux system was also to merit study that how to use it.
In this study, we used nature of the open source, enterprise information demands, the Linux system application projects and total cost of ownership to discusses superiority of the Linux system. The first stage, we use individual case to build up suitable degree of questions and understanding total cost of ownership. The second stage, we use mails asked the enterprise application manner of the Linux system. Finally, we analyze application status of the Linux system in the enterprises and study to suggestion of the Linux system.
