This research applies Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure efficiency scores, give a rank table that compares the business efficiency of different food firms, and find benchmarking company for improvements. We studied 24 TSE and OTC firms in the food industry, and chose seven options for input and output. Data Envelopment Analysis was employed to evaluate the relative efficiency to effect reference set analysis and composite compare. Finally, we provide specific suggestions to inefficient firms via slack variable analysis. Moreover, Mann-Whitney was used as the rank statistics for determining programmatic efficiency differences in this study. The empirical results show that most food companies with superior total efficiency and technical efficiency had no investments in China and the relative efficiency had a great difference with each other. The analysis of scale efficiency indicates that companies had few differences, and the research also revealed that most of companies are increasing or decreasing return to scale level. The result implies that those companies had not reached their optimal level of return to scale. Therefore, if companies want to have better business efficiency, then they had to newly administered asset. The analysis of business effect indicates that UNI-PRESIDENT ENTERPRISES CORP. stood out among the others as the champion in terms of high quality brand recognition and market share. The analysis of the strategy of having investments in China indicated that two groups, with or without investments in China, showed benchmarking company that worked at the best efficiency were the ones that concentrated on improving areas and branched out the center of business. Therefore, this research suggests that improvements can be studied benchmarking company’s business craftsmanship and strategies of capital collocation. The purpose of this study is to examine how investment in China will affect the business efficiency of the Taiwan’s parent companies of food firms.
