碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 自動化科技研究所 === 93 === The main objective of this research is to perform the mechanism design of a new foldable chair mechanism to develop a comfortable, and more convenient to fold. To make users enjoy the leisure time adequately. This study collected all literatures on collapsible chair mechanisms and classified them into several types. This thesis adopts mechanism synthesize to establish its design concept with also considering of its constrain. Being through generalization and specialization, the specialized kinematics’ chain is sorted out as the best for the demand of this thesis. It is then transferred as the atlas of specialized chains, and finally returns to a mechanical device. In addition, via computer aid Pro/ENGINEER to proceed with dimension synthesize, to build up its 3D model, and implement Pro/Mechanica to analyze stress, strain and displacement, so as to confirm the strength of the foldable chair. Meanwhile, the simulate function of Pro/Machnism is also used to process the simulation so as to ensure no interferes are involved or occurred. Last but not least, the physical mock up of the foldable chair is to testify this new design of foldable chair. With completion of all the process mentioned above, this new foldable chair is easy to carry with and manipulate, it is very suitable for everyone to use.
