To keep pace with the upgrading industries in Taiwan, TPC needs better quality in power supply, especially in the voltage''s stable aspect. In order to maintain good voltage quality. The parallel connection bank of capacitors was installed at substations as a means of regulating voltage. The condenser bank can be used for regulating voltage, it also generates many problems. For example, it will contain transient over voltage, inrush current, and transient re-striking voltage that may cause damage to the electrical equipment. Although TPC installed current limit reactor in the capacitor bank to improve the transient over current, the capacitor damage problem still exist. How to avoid such capacitor bank incident is the research motivation of this thesis. This thesis focuses on TPC’s 69kV, 22kV/ 11kV bank of capacitors model and use the MATLAB SimPowerSystems program to simulate all kinds of transient phenomenon. The simulation results are further analyzed and adopted for feasibility and efficiency study. In this study, TPC’s West Lake distribution substation was sampled for realistic measurement of the bank of capacitors and the limit current reactors’ position change. It is found that change to the position indeed can solve the 22kV/11kV capacitor bank transient problem. This result can be used as structure reference for both TPC and other high voltage supply companies in the layout design for the bank of capacitors. Wen-Shiow Kao 高文秀 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 77 zh-TW
