According to a research, the use of the Internet has become the necessary skill for the primary school students in general. The purposes of this research were to investigate the differences of the behaviors of using the Internet, self-concept and interpersonal relationship among primary school students and to lead a way for education units to correct schoolchilds’ deviation behaviors. Personal variables in this study include grade level, gender, socioeconomic status among Internet using behaviors, self-concept and interpersonal relationship. Each factor was studied to examine the differences and the correlations between individual variables. Questionnaire was used as instrument for this study. There were 552 subjects chosen from senior grades of two elementary school students in Nei-Hu dictrict of Taipei. The data obtained is analyzed with frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, T-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation. Results of this research show the following phenomena: 1.100﹪students have used the internet, and 38﹪of them use twice to three times per week. 38.9﹪of them spend less then an hour every time and 32.7﹪of them have used internet more than four years . The most popular place that the primary school students often get on the internet is usually at home. 2. The primary school students generally formulate positive self-concept and acceptable interpersonal relationship. 3. Certain significant difference between personal variables and Internet using behaviors are listed as follows:(1)There were gender difference in the frequency of using the internet; (2)grade difference in the Internet using hours; (3)and socioeconomic status difference in the length of time using the Internet and internet using place . 4. Elementary school students of different gender, grade and socioeconomic status were significantly different in self-concept and interpersonal relationship. 5. There were certain significant difference among Internet usage behaviors, self-concept and interpersonal relationship. 6. There was a positive correlation between elementary school student’s self-concept and interpersonal relationship.
