Furthermore, this study wanted to analyze the differences between time management and teaching effectiveness in personal variables and school environmental variables. Finally, it tried to explore the relationships between time management and teaching effectiveness. Questionnaire survey was employed in this study. The contents of the questionnaire were composed of the circumstance of teachers’ time management and teaching effectiveness. Six hundred and thirty participants were randomly selected from fifty public elementary schools in Taipei City and Taipei County. The effective samples were 399. The data were analyzed by using the methods of statistical analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple stepwise regressions. The findings of this study were as follows: 1.The current situations of teachers’ time management and teaching effectiveness in elementary schools were all above average. 2.There was significant difference in time management among the teachers’ background variables such as teaching experience and teacher’s abbacy. Especially the seniors and teachers with administrative affairs had better performance. 3.There was significant difference in teaching effectiveness among teachers’ educational backgrounds. Especially teachers with master degree had better performance. 4.There was significant difference in time management among the school environmental variables such as years and areas. Especially the schools which had been founded for 11-20 years and teachers in the public elementary schools of Taipei City had better performance. 5.In conclusion, the correlation between teachers’ time management and teaching effectiveness was positive. Besides, teachers’ time management could predict the teaching effectiveness. In the end, based on the findings and conclusions, some suggestions were provided for our educational administration authorities, elementary schools, teachers and future studies.
