Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 衛生資訊與決策研究所 === 93 === Abstract The objective of this research is to develop a nursing information competence assessing system based on the analysis of work; it combines the concepts of ‘work recording’ and ‘information competence setting’, and will be provided to the nurses as a tool to evaluate their own information competence. According to the results of those assessments, nurses will understand what to do to improve their information competence. The system is built with Microsoft® Office Excel 2003, manipulated by Excel VBA(Visual Basic for Application). The research is carried out through the questionnaires based on the concept of TAM(Technology Acceptance Model)developed by F.D.Davis, asking some representatives of nurses of a medical center in Taipei to evaluate the feasibility of the system through the questionnaires. The system includes 4 modules: work recording module, information competence setting module, evaluating module and researchers / observed persons adding module. When a researcher operates the system at the first time, he/she must add his/her personal data and observed person’s data into the system through the researchers / observed persons adding module. Then he/she records the work when observed person works through work recording module, configuring the information competence index strongly related to the work which has been recorded. At last, the researcher evaluates the information competence needed for the job through the evaluating module with the work data he/she has recorded and the information competence index he/she has set. The results of the research reveals that when asked about the perceived ease of use of the system, 90% of the interviewed nurses think it is easy to operate the system with the user’s interface through the way of ‘clicking’, 80% of the interviewed nurses think the layouts of the interfaces of work recording and evaluating modules are easy to use; when asked about the perceived usefulness of the system, 60% of interviewed nurses think it’s helpful to the assessment of nurses’ information competence. Overall, 60% of interviewed nurses consider that the system is easy to use and it’s very helpful to the assessment of nurses’ information competence. During the development of the system, comprehensive and exclusive information competence index cannot be constructed because of the ambiguous definition of information competence. Also, the result of the assessment is applied restrictedly. Moreover, the nursing tasks in individual hospital differ from each other so the system cannot build a consistent standard for task during the process of assessment, also influence the effect of the system. If the two issues above can be dealt with in a better way, the system will be more useful.
