| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業設計系碩士班 === 93 === The purpose of the study is to come up with the best suitable hierarchies of Chinese hierarchical voice interface for the elderly and to discuss the relation between the voice interface hierarchies and how the elderly use voice interface. Finally, we will give suggestion on the design of hierarchical voice interface to make it easier for the elderly to use.
We found the elderly used voice interface within the least time when there were three hierarchies through previous study on simulated hierarchical voice interface system. In fact, the relation between the voice interface hierarchies and the operating time for the elderly of the voice interface is as follows: the fewer the hierarchies are, the more when the item appears affects their operating time; the more the hierarchies are, the more how much they comprehend the system affects their operating time.
Besides, the error rate of voice interface usage for the elderly and how much they comprehend the categories of the voice system are connected. The more the hierarchies are, the higher error rate is, especially while there are more than three hierarchies. Through the experiment result of the connection between operating time and error rate as well as the survey on the degree of using satisfaction, we found the elderly performs best with three voice interface hierarchies.
