It was found that the 99mTc(V)O complexes are formed in a one-step procedure starting from pertechnetate at proper pH values in yields of 80-90% of radiochemical purity. The radiochemical characteristics of the four complexes were analyzed by thin layer chromatography (TLC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), electrophoresis, and solvent extraction. As expected, the four complexes were lipophilic and neutral. In vitro stability studies showed the four complexes were practically stable for at least six hours at room temperature.
