Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 94 === The study aims by discussing the professional knowledge to explore the needs of professional knowledge, and analyzing the effect on the professional knowledge for teachers of elder education.This study can be significant resource for future gerontology teacher education in Taiwan.According to the aim of this study, the researcher collected the related theories and then applied the tools of self-edited questionnaire of elder education teachers to realize the needs of professional knowledge.The data collected was analysed according by statistical analyes of means,and One-way ANOVE,t-test.What follows are the findings and conclusions of this study:
1. The needs of professional knowledge for teachers of elder education are very high.
2. All of the needs for educational teachers are:”teaching attitude”,”teaching competency”,”teaching environment”
3. There was no significant difference in teachers’ needs of the professional knowledge and competence among different sex, age, years of teaching and if they have any relation training.
4. The higher education teachers,the more needs of professional knowledge they have.
5. The further professional knowledge includes:”life education”,”health care”and “finance management”.
Recommendations, based on findings and conclusions, are made for education administration, teacher cultivating institution, elder education teachers and future study.
