Since then more than trillion NTD has been invested in building DRAM Fabs. As today Taiwan has already produced around 20% of DRAM in the world in terms of output capacity. However, most DRAM companies take the low cost mass manufacturing strategy: they OEM their capacity as the loyalty or license fee to exchange for advance technology to the technology owners (brand manufacturers) in order to secure their technology upgrading. In the long run, for those shareholders who invested on DRAM companies earn relative lower average return in investment compared on other high-tech industries. This is the issue needed to be further studied; the result also would serve as a reference to the Government or the enterprises while they do their strategic planning. This thesis firstly explores the definition of GLM (Global Logistics Management) and DRAM industry current trends researches. From the GLM view point with the perspective of R&D, production, and marketing, what are the opportunities and threats to Taiwanese DRAM industry? It’s a vital issue to Taiwan economical growing if the DRAM industry could take the competitive edge of Taiwan to win the competing global supply chain in the global market. Secondly, we take the case study method. We choice the case study company who has a good performance in the 4P (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) areas of Marketing; and taking the SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) model to analysis the case study company. How they elaborate their competition by enhance their global logistics management. Our finding suggests this experience can serve as a winning direction for Taiwanese DRAM companies as well as for other companies to turn their threats into opportunities. 李文義 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 80 zh-TW |
