For supporting of supply chain management, the domestic pharmaceutical industry is still in an early stage; does not adjust itself to a fast growing environment. In order to survive in this complex competed environment and attract consumers’ constant support; it is important to provide accurate products and services. Giving efficient time manner and management are in present the most important topics in supply chain management. The population of RFID tag gives pharmaceutical industry supply chain a solution and direction of management. The purpose and results of RFID tag is to establish an efficiency supply chain management with quick response and further improves operation flow of entire supply chain.
This study focuses on RFID tag to supply chain management and takes pharmaceutical industry as a target of this study. Further detailed discussion of the present traditional supply chain in pharmaceutical industry in Taiwan and suggest future directions of using RFID tag to improve its entire supply chain management. This study covers all fields using RFID tag to improve its supply chain; and provides suggestions of better way for the entire flow of supply chain in pharmaceutical industry operations.
With lack of global standard and its own disadvantages, the operating cost of RFID tag also is a big consideration factor. In order to avoid the waste of both time and money and with the improvement of current supply chain, this research mainly emphasizes on the influence and improvement of current RFID tag system, as well as focusing on the problem solving as a direction for the supply chain management; and to accelerate adaptation of this technology and enhance its own benefit.
