碩士 === 中華大學 === 運輸科技與物流管理學系碩士班 === 94 === Recently, there was several serious traffic accidents of the bus happened in Taiwan. These accidents caused the people fatality and property loss. Numerous investigations show that traffic accidents are usually caused by the driver. The National Transportation Safety Board in the United States estimates that more then 30% of all large vehicle driver fatalities are fatigue-related. So it has become apparent that more research focusing on bus safety issues concerning the driver fatigue in needed. However there were few studies discuss the bus driver fatigue in Taiwan. We take the bus simulator made by Chung-Hua University to be the platform of this research, and try to discuss the changes such about physical and driving performances of bus drivers at the monotonous traffic condition. Moreover, the results of this research can provide some principles of researches for bus driver fatigue in Taiwan.
