Compared to conventional LED and Laser diode, The disadvantage of LED is output light have full direction beam. RCLED have different structure with convention LED. The properties of better emission spectrum increase output light performance and decrease output light divergence angle before change structure. There are applied to optical fiber communication and outdoor display. In this topic, there will introduce resonant-cavity light emitting diode fabricate experiment. There are choose two different wavelength(650 nm and 870 nm)device. The reason why which choice special alloy materials to compound substrate, active layer, reflection mirrors and use a lot of step fabrication process to build up a optical device. In experiment data, there can get different properties and experiment to be analysis.
The thickness of reflection mirror will effect the output power in different device structure. By adjusting the pairs number of reflection mirror, optimum pair number make good performance.
In this thesis, the effect of p-DBR number and temperature on RCLED was investigated.
