Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 94 === This research is concerned with an imperfect economic production quantity (EPQ) model with machine breakdown (Abort/resume–AR) and rework. One of the unrealistic assumptions of classic EPQ model is that it assumes manufacturing facility functions perfectly at all times. However, in most practical settings, due to process deterioration or other factors, defective items are generated. In this thesis, random defective rate and random machine breakdown (AR) are considered. For instance, as machine operation time getting longer, the status of production equipment may start to shift from stable condition to unstable, due to many different known or unknown factors. Most of the times, defective items produced as well as machine breakdowns are inevitable. In this study we consider that when the machine is fixed and restored, all defective items are reworked and repaired immediately in the same production cycle. Mathematical modeling and analysis is employed by this study, exponential mean time between breakdowns is assumed. The optimal production time per cycle and the expected annual inventory costs for the imperfect quality EPQ model with machine breakdown (AR) and rework are derived. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate its practical usages.
