| Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 94 === This research applies the data envelopment analysis (DEA) to study performance evaluation and performance indices of teaching units for a particular scientific and technical university. And take the case as the example, analyze and discuss the result. The developed pattern of DEA processing provides other scientific and technical university reference in the performance evaluation.
The research is divided into different basis, input-based and output-based. Penetrating the related literature analysis, the performance indices of teaching unit are obtained. This research uses the DEA as a tool to evaluate the performance. The performance is evaluated under the model of output-based CCR. We analyze the whole achievements and relevance of investment items (human affairs, equipment, miscellaneous) and production items (teaching, research, service). As well as propose efficiency and the improvement goal for each teaching unit. A back coupling system is thus established, based on the useful management information. With the back coupling system, the resources allocation can be modified, the goal updated, and the management policy refined. All of these modifications intend to provide maximum efficiency of using limited resources
