Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 94 === From the viewpoint of the smiling-curve, “research and development (R&D)” on the left-side of the curve is one of the major enterprise functions for industries to gain profits. However, there are many fundamental prerequisites for R&D to be successful. These include: R&D must have specific goals, product marketability must be considered simultaneously, and related technologies must be currently feasible. Without a through consideration of all of the prerequisites, R&D will fail no matter how much resources have been invested in R&D. This is similar to the observation on the S curve: industry competitiveness relies mostly on how industries can effectively shorten the product development and innovation cycle. TRIZ theory is a set of systematic method for product innovation and development process. The “Contradiction Matrix” in the theory can be used to help solving technique contradictions encountered during product design process. Mind mapping and quality function deployment (QFD) are excellent tools for collecting voice of customers (VOC). Further, patent is not only the most basic way to reveal the R&D strategies of the competitors, but also the method that provides an insight of worldwide patent layout for the industries to keep away from touching the patent land mine area. All of these methods are useful during the product R&D and innovation process. In view of this, the Product Concept Innovation System which integrates mind mapping, QFD, TRIZ and patent is developed in this thesis in order to provide product developers a convenient product concept design process. The benefits of this system include reduction of the number of engineering changes, shortening product development time, and avoiding losing a huge sum of money because of touching the patent land mine of competitors.
