Description
Summary:碩士 === 佛光人文社會學院 === 資訊學系碩士班 === 94 === In conventional research, personal computer (PC) in most cases is the main processing system for the monitoring of physiology signals. Although PC-based systems have many advantages, they are bulky, heavy, and cannot meet the requirement of portability. In this research the focus is on the development of modules that combine the monitoring functions in one single chip.We investigate the use of single-chip embedded systems for the monitor and analysis of physiology signals. ARM processor is used to control various sensors that measure key physiology signals such as body temperature, blood pressure and pulses. The sensors are connected to the processor via GPIO interface. Taking advantages of such a system, we can not only save a significant amount of time for commuting between a patient’s residence and hospital, but also provide instant diagnosis and medical advice. In addition, physiology data collected by the system can be kept in a database to allow long-term tracking of a patient’s physical condition. This is valuable for early diagnosis and medical treatment, and forms the basis for preventive medical care. In the future, this system may incorporate GPS and other wireless modules so that real-time physiology signals and the current location of a user can be transmitted to a hospital.
