Hematologic biotech products are also developed for clinical application including stem cell transplantation. Thus the storage service of new born babies’ cord blood became a emerging business. Numerous cord blood storage companies in Taiwan have made the cord blood storage business as a highly competitive market. To study the competitive strategies among Taiwan cord blood storage companies is the main purpose of this study. This study will focus on the analysis of Taiwan cord blood storage market, industry overview and individual company analysis as well. This study explore from a broad perspective to understanding the pricing strategy of biotech products and service. Data analysis and questionnaire are used to investigate the competitive strategies among the cord blood storage companies in Taiwan. “Competitive pricing strategy” seems to be the most common strategy among the 10 cord blood storage companies. Besides the pricing strategy, we can also found that the market leading companies have more differentiated branding and promotional activities. Based on this study, we also found that the people development, product diversity and industry integration or alliance will be the future directions of cord blood storage companies.
