碩士 === 華梵大學 === 東方人文思想研究所 === 94 === This thesis concerns mainly about “Baopuzi the Inner Chapters” of Ge Hong during Jin Dynasty (284-344). It studies on the thoughts of immortals which have a great impact on Taoism. The worldview of immortal thoughts is firstly created. In this article, the concept of tien, famous mountain and the beings are studied, and the worldview is explained by the interaction of tien , famous mountain, human, ghost, immortals, monsters and the beings. Secondly, through the records of classic pieces, spread of reality and ways of reasoning, it has been proved the existence of immortals as well as one conception that the normal human beings can study to be an immortal. Ge Hong re-valued Confucion and Taoism in his viewpoint of immortals and Sages. Thirdly, the method for practicing which is Ontology-oriented or Cosmology-oriented is divided into two types. The the Ontology-oriented method is through benefaction and smart master , diligence (hard practice) and ambition (firm will), while the Cosmology-oriented method is through knowledge of preserving one’s health, magic of danger-avoiding and taking magic pills. Fourthly, by using different methods, one can turn out to be a sage who is always satisfied and world-enter-free and achieve the ideal stage of immortals.
