Today knowledge has become a significant capital of all kinds of organizations. The enhancement of the organizational knowledge power will bring the improvement of economic power directly and advance its competition status among all the competitors. That’s the reason for the effective knowledge management becomes the important key of the maintenance of competitive superiority.
The knowledge management means the management of interior organization knowledge and the collection of the knowledge from individuals, divisions, and branches. The knowledge management not only a collective database for all the public and private workers, but also an renew depot for all the info resources. So the knowledge management is the science and technology for the passage of the knowledge workers, the interactive business cultures, the performance flows, and the win-win policy for all the personnel and enterprises.
The new century ROC forces need to apply knowledge properly to create the advantage requirements of the forces establishment and readiness. Simply speaking, the high quality transform of ROC forces demand highlight and drive the knowledge management because of the necessity of constructing the “high quality, modern, and profession” defense troops.
The defense organization is a complex enterprise entity which has been accumulating knowledge resources for years. One thing we have to consider actively is how to improve the management scheme in order to use the information technology rightly for the enhancement of subordinate values around all the knowledge resources. Making a comprehensive survey of our defense organization, it is hardly to find the divisions which are able to apply the knowledge economically and effectively. The reason for this phenomenon is the lack of a general and easy way for the application. So this research tried to find a modern military unit with the consolidation of high-tech and complex info equipments to be the research entity, use the deliberation of the defense e-society model to be the main shaft of the knowledge management.
This research makes a complete introduction of the knowledge management firstly, studies the military application and exercise of the knowledge management secondly. The purposes of this arrangement are getting the better understanding of knowledge for ROC forces and inspiring the spotlight of knowledge management, in order to deal with the challenge of knowledge explosion as early as possible. Furthermore, this research also anticipates the achievement of the military progress for all the organization, personnel, and systems with the advocacy of knowledge management. The final goal is that ROC forces can be the troops with the high quality based on the accumulation and management of knowledge and the continuous learning and innovation in order to operate and sustain forever.
