The investment cost has multiple growth by reviewing Taiwanese high-tech industry in the past few years. Specially, the scale of TFT-LCD industry is getting bigger and bigger with the government’s "two trillions double stars" policy and high competition among international manufactories. The topic of TFT-LCD TV development has been discussed highly along with the 5th and the 6th generation manufactory enlargement. Back-light module provides major light for TFT-LCD. It is a major key component in the flat-plane display industry. Back-light module accounts 16%, after color filter and driver IC, named the 3rd order in the LCD cost construction. Due to the technical level of back-light module is lower than other key components. Back-light module industry needs mass labor to gather for production and high-level management in manufacture. Therefore, an enterprise whether has high quality and high efficiency people (employee) or not. It is a major key point to help an enterprise earns the most advantage. Due to employee plays a important role in the whole industry, employees whether satisfy on their jobs or not, it will directly affect enterprise. This study focuses on employees of back-light module industry. It treats the correlation among job characteristic、worker personality、and job satisfaction. Furthermore, it takes core self-evaluation as distribution variable in between job characteristic and job satisfaction. It also treats job characteristic and core self-evaluations whether produce interaction to affect job satisfaction. This study takes the methodology of questionnaire to investigate the employees of the top 5 companies ( CTX, RADIANT, FORHOUSE, K-BRIDGE, and Helix ) in back-light module industry. Total of 300 copies of questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Finally,there are 204 copies qualified questionnaires return. The results using SPSS 10.5 software to analyze the data,it shows (1) Motivational Potential Score (MPS) can clearly predict job satisfaction. (2) Motivational Potential Score (MPS) higher,friendliness higher,job satisfaction higher. (3) Motivational Potential Score (MPS) higher, self-discipline higher,job satisfaction higher. This confirmed research result can be used to help back-light module industry and TFT-LCD industry chain for improving employee job satisfaction。
