However, if no obviously failure load was reached for pile loading test, the ultimate load is generally estimated by some interpreted methods. Several methods are available to interpret the pile load test (Kulhway, 1995), but, to-date no consensus on the best interpreted method. In this thesis, several interpretation methods were used to interpret the compression and tension full scale pile loading tests . In general, maintained load methods are usually conducted for pile loading test. This procedure of conventional pile loading test is similar to the multiphase creep test. In this thesis, ten compression pile tests and five tension pile tests were conducted to discuss the characteristics of creep historical curve. Beside, based on the different period of those measured data, the regression equations were derived for each load increments. The coefficients(A,B) of those equations were used to check the relationships between maintained period and creep rate. The creep initial load, creep yielding load and creep ultimate load were defined and investigated in this paper. The results of tension piles show that the creep rate of plunging load is about 5.42〜7.77mm/(log scale),and the creep rate of yielding load is about 1.19〜2.49mm/(log scale). Beside, the corresponding settlement of creep initial load is about 1.76〜3.18mm.The results of compression piles show that the creep rate of plunging load is about 5.80〜12.43mm/(log scale),and the creep rate of yielding load is about 0.92〜2.72mm/(log scale). Beside, the corresponding settlement of creep initial load is about 3.16〜11.63mm.
