Therefore, companies or individuals will face enhanced competition. In order to face this increased competition, most people will choose to continually learn and upgrade their professional skills. Hereafter, schools act as a provider of training for the aforementioned people. These classes must satisfy the needs of the students. This thesis is focused on the motivation of returning students who study for a Masters Degree and their overall level of satisfaction with the program. The target of this study is students from both in the shipping and transportation departments at Kainan University. In order to reach the goal mentioned above, this study uses Likert’s five-point questionnaire to understand the difference between the program provided by the school and the needs of the students. At the same time, in order to structure this thesis, besides to collecting local and foreign related analysis, I also studied similar local and foreign questionnaires, to create my own questionnaire. After collecting all of the materials and using analysis and statistics, then, I made my final recommendations. Hopefully this analysis will prove useful to the department. The answers to the 26 questions from the Kainan Master Degree respondents showed an average of 3.8 which is between average and satisfied. With regard to the question: “Increase your specialized image,” the students believed this is an important aim, but they are not very satisfied with the results. In addition, for both logistics students in questions “increase professional skills?” and “Increase your social level?”, and for the air shipping students in questions: “increase social level” and “increase your personal success” both showed the high importance in aim but less satisfied with the results. I believe this is the direction that school can focus on. Dr.Tao Chen 陳韜 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 110 zh-TW
