Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 機械與精密工程研究所 === 94 === The role of the light guide plate (LGP) of a backlight module is to guide the light source to reach both high luminance and high luminance uniformity purposes. Most of the previous studies focused on analyzing single light source LGPs, however, there are many LGPs with more than one light source in the markets. In this study, an L-type light source LGP with 91.25% luminance uniformity was designed and analyzed using ASAP software, fabrication of the molding stamper and molding of the LGP was further realized with the design developed in this study. In general medium or large size LGPs produced with multi-stage injection molding. In this study, multi-stage injection speed and multi-stage hold pressure settings were applied, and Taguchi method was used to investigate the relation between the processing parameters (injection speed, hold pressure, hold pressure time, melt temperature, mold temperature, cooling time) and the molding quality of a 7” LGP. This study also combined Taguchi method and Moldex3D software to obtain optimal processing parameters for minimizing warpage of the 7” LGP. The result of the optimal process showed the warpage of the LGP was obvious smaller than that with single-stage parameter settings. Stamper with micro lens arrays of this study was fabricated using LIGA-like process, the molded LGP has a uniformity of 85.26% which is better than current industry specification. The micro lens arrays pattern of the molded LGP was measured, and rebuilt for further optical analyzing. Through the help of ASAP software we can conclude that the higher the lens the better luminance of the LGP, and the height of the lens does not have major effect on the luminance uniformity of the LGP.
