A user downloads the data by USB disk, when status of the DVR is off-line. After the user download these data which has been applied to Geographic Information System (GIS). The GIS will show the area and route of the vehicle for the manager. But this way can't upload these data to server, and the manager can't supervise these vehicles at the moment. The purpose of thesis combines the DVR and General Package Radio Service (GPRS), and Client-Server architecture has been used by thesis. At Client side, the DVR transports real-time information of the vehicle to the server and receives the message from the server through the GPRS network. At Server side, manager can get these data from DVR, and these data have been analyzed by GIS and software at the real-time. In addition, the Client sends the data to the Server and always on-line for stability. The Server can control the sampling time of the Client by internet. The method can reduce the charge for transport the data uses GPRS service. Development platform of Siemens TC45 GPRS module is based on Java programming language.
