The components were analyzed for selecting the appropriate lines for Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) in Taiwan. Models of organic farming and GAP for medicinal herbs would be established. Fertilizer experiments for Isatis indigotica were conducted in a private farm at Mingjian, Nantou 2004. The experimental material is Isatis indigotica C3. Organic fertilizer with 0 and 4000kg/ha, dolomite 0 and 2000kg/ha, and potassium fertilizer 60,120 and 180 Kg/ha K2O were applied in split plot design (SPD). The total fresh biomass yields of Isatis indigotica with the treatment of organic fertilizer 4000 Kg/ha, dolomite 2000 Kg/ha and potassium fertilizer 120 Kg/ha, measured at 90, 150 and 240 days after planting were 7043, 10329, 25501Kg/ha respectively. While the treatments of chemical fertilizer (120-100-120) were 2900, 8507 and 13940 Kg/ha respectively, the experimental result showed that the application of organic fertilizer and dolomite enhanced the growth of Isatis indigotica and yields. By regression analysis, the application of 112~144 Kg/ha K2O are the optimum potassium fertilizer recommended for the highest yield of Isatis indigotica. Experiment of the four Isatis indigotica lines(C-1, 2, 3, 4) were conducted in Mingjian 2004 by applying organic fertilizer 4000 Kg/ha, dolomite 2000 Kg/ha and potassium fertilizer 120 Kg/ha in randomized complete block design (RCBD). The result showed that yields of dry leaf and root of Isatis indigotica measured at 240 days after planting were 1677 Kg/ha and 4748 Kg/ha respectively. Biomass of dry leaf and root measured 360 days after planting (after bloomed) were 265 and 5716 Kg/ha respectively. The result showed that the longer Isatis indigotica planted, the higher yields of fresh root obtained. However, after bloom, the yields of fresh leaf decreased rapidly as most nutrition transported to flower and seed. Therefore, we suggest that extending the planting period and harvest before bloom gave the highest yields. The result of chemical analysis indicated that the fresh leaf contains a higher content of indican, while dry leaf contains less. The amount of tryptanthrin, indigo and indirubin in dry leaf is much more than that in fresh leaf and dry root. The overall conclusion of this experiment suggests that the cultivation of Isatis indigotica in organic farming and GAP approaches would be available in Taiwan. 陳世雄 林宜信 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 185 zh-TW
