Description
Summary:碩士 === 中興大學 === 高階經理人碩士在職專班 === 94 === The hand tools industry is very competitive and most companies in the industry use outsourcing strategy to achieve goals like low cost, on-time delivery, flexibility, and so on. Therefore, how to choose a qualified supplier and to understand whether they can get expected results are important for these companies. In this study, I apply Spearman’s rank correlation analysis, entropy-weight method, and grey relational analysis to a company’s (called A company) data to setup the procedures of selecting outsourcing firms. By analyzing 51 customers and 67 suppliers of this company, I get following results: 1. The evaluation index must consider how long a supplier has been in the business, and it is better to find a supplier which has been around for a long time. Spearman’s correlation method finds that this factor is positively related to a supplier’s technique and product quality. 2. Combining entropy-weight method and grey relational analysis can show more of the differences in suppliers’ performance than using weight average method. 3. According to the entropy-weight method, I discover that price is the major reason why A company uses outsourcing strategy. 4. The satisfaction degree of product quality and order fulfillment for A company is 77.45%, which shows that there is room for improvement.
