Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 材料科學及工程學系碩博士班 === 94 === Microleakage has been identified as a significant problem with amalgam because of interfacial gap formation and can result in tooth discoloration ,pulp irritation and secondary caries. In the recent research,we could find many records about heat treatment amalgam powders. It can reduce amalgam mecury release and increase mechanical properties. This study was initiated to evaluate different ball mill mode(time、speed) with different heat treatment. We chose two of these and proceed with thermalcycling. During some mechanical tests ,we used three amalgam restorations:Tytin、ATH30、 AT10BC10H30 .And then we evaluated the effect of different amalgam restoratives during long-term thermocycling in microleakage . A total of 90 teeth with amalgam restorations were divided into 3 groups (N=30) ,and inserted in Class V (2*2*2mm) preparations in human molars.Teeth were thermocycled for 1000 cycles in artificial saliva at 5°C and 55°C baths with a dwell time of 30 sec in each bath. The teeth were subsequently immersed in basic fuchsin dye (24 hour) and sectioned to allow assessment of microleakage . Finally,we found not only mechanical but microleakage properties ,ATH30 and AT10BC10H30 have good qualities.
