A Study on Users’ Characters and P.O.E. of Performing Arts’ Facilities－Take East District of Tainan City as an Example

However, performing arts’ facilities are important hardware foundations that offering performers to perform and attracting the audiences to get in touch with arts.Relevant researches most probed into the relation among the performing arts’ activities and audience's characters at present, it is comparatively scarce about users’ characters and P.O.E. of Performing Arts’ Facilities.On the base of “policy of cultural citizenship” promoted by government, the idea of expecting to satisfy the equal rights that the people of different levels share the culture, and the view of achievement after using existent performing arts’ facilities, it is necessary to study deeply on users’ characters and P.O.E. of existent Performing Arts’ Facilities. Because of the above-mentioned motives, this study takes east district of Tainan as an example and select fourteen performing arts’ facilities use frequently to proceed the study on users’ characters and P.O.E. of performing arts’ facilities by using the method of questionnaire survey to performers and audiences. Gathering statistics and analyzing the results, then supply the government with the view of policy of cultural citizenship, suggestion of improving existent performing arts’ facilities, and reference of planning policy on relevant performing arts’ facilities. The results of this study are as follows: All kinds of facilities’ performers have different characters, indoor type facilities are mostly professional groups, outdoor type facilities are mostly the amateurish groups, and the users of achievement issuing takes an extremely important part in all facilities. About the audiences' characters, the composing of audiences give priority to the people who are female, younger generation, students, high education degree at indoor type facilities. The outdoor type facilities are important interface to popularize performing arts,its audiences’ characters are various: the rate of sex is more closing, the rate of mid-life is higher, the type of career is more extensive, the distribution of education degree is average. About the traffic, the time audiences approach the facilities is about twenty minutes, and the service region of multiple facilities are larger. About the P.O.E of facilities by performer: Come to see wholly, indoor type is more satisfied than outdoor type, the satisfaction to stage facilities and subsidiary stage equipment is lower, the dressing rooms and backstage toilets are most unsatisfied among them. Performers of outdoor type facilities is relatively unsatisfied with the noise isolating. The items which indoor type facilities mostly need to improve are the “dressing rooms” and “backstage toilets”, and outdoor type facilities are the “noise isolating” and “backstage toilets”. About the P.O.E of facilities by audiences: Come to see wholly, indoor type is more satisfied than outdoor type, the audiences is most satisfied with “program content”, and mainly unsatisfied with “the amount of toilets”, ”food and beverage facilities”, “goods sell shop”, “comfort of seats”, secondarily with “consulting service”, “moving lines and indications”.
