Some information formats about an auction could affect a bidder’s behavior and lead the auction into different results. In this research, we tested the effects of four formats of English auction separately, including “temporary buyout option or permanent buyout option”, “showing the message of the achievement to reserve price or not”, “signaling the using of agent bid or not”, and “full bidding record or partial bidding record”. We find that the bidding number will be higher if the seller don’t emblem the using of agent bid. In contrast, the bidding number will be lower if the seller uses the permanent buyout option. The other tow formats revealed no significant differences. The research findings contribute to the buyers and sellers for choosing proper auctioning strategies and to the operators of auction website for designing and developing the strategies of their Internet English auction website.
