description 碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 休閒產業經營學系碩士班 === 94 === Recently, people have attached great importance to bicycle usage gradually, and it caused the development of an adequate setting for cycling to be important. It was helpful to plan and improve the environment that managers could understand their perception of bikeway setting attributes might differ from visitors. The purpose of this study was to understand visitors’ motivation for cycling and perception of Bali Bikeway setting attributes. Also, the researcher analyzed the discrepancy between visitors’ and managers’ perception of the bikeway setting attributes, and further, the researcher analyzed the relationship between managers’ importance and visitors’ satisfaction of the bikeway setting attributes. The researcher conducted two types of close-ended questionnaire to collect the data. One was visitor’s questionnaire and the other was manager’s questionnaire. The subjects of the study of visitor were selected by convenience sampling process and 385 valid questionnaires were received. The response rate was 100%. In addition, the overall managers of “River Highland Beach Division in Taipei County” were selected and 46 valid questionnaires were received. The response rate was 92%. The researcher used descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and Important-Performance Analysis (IPA) to analyze the data. Based on the results, visitors with different motivation for cycling had different importance of bikeway setting attributes, including visitors who took “improve fitness” as the main motivation had importance on extensive setting attributes, and visitors who took “leisure and recreation” as the main motivation had more importance on setting attributes of recreational service. Besides, visitors who took “self- challenge” as the main motivation had more importance on diverse topography, but less on maintenance of facilities. In addition, independent samples t-test indicated that visitors’ and managers’ perception of bikeway setting attributes exhibited significant differences. Managers had higher importance toward “setting of artificial facilities” than visitors, and visitors had higher importance toward “setting of cultural resources” than managers. Besides, visitors had higher importance toward “conservation of biological resources” than managers, and it exhibited that visitors have attached great importance to biological environment and cultural resources in bikeway gradually. Furthermore, based on the evaluation of the visitors’ importance of bikeway setting attributes and on-site satisfaction, the researcher found that “quantities and clean of public lavatories”, “lane width”, “maintenance of facilities”, “conservation of historic excavation”, “popularization of local culture” and “biological environment” were needed to be improved intensively. In conclusion, the researcher also found that there was no correlation relationship between the managers’ importance and visitors’ satisfaction of bikeway setting attributes. The whys and wherefores might be: managers couldn’t carry out plans or actions in some important bikeway setting attributes of their perception because of management objectives or barriers, and perhaps visitors and managers had discrepant perception of bikeway setting attributes, or managers were difficult to control the influences on visitors’ satisfaction, etc. According to the conclusions, the researcher recommended that managers should consult opinions of professionals or visitors when hard to make strategic decisions, and managers also need to apply strategic alliances to satisfy visitors’ diverse needs and make up for topographic limits of bikeway. In addition, managers could reinforce cultural resources in bikeway environment and get conservation of biological environment and popularization of local culture moving by combining with local resources. For future study, involvement of cyclist and possession of bicycle could be analyzed to probe into the cause of different possession of bicycle of visitors.
