Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系所 === 94 === A Study in Job Satisfaction of the Elementary School Teachers in the Hearing Impairment Inclusion Education ABSTRACT The main purpose of this study is to probe into the job satisfaction of teachers of normal classes with hearing impaired students at the elementary schools in Taiwan. Also, the study is to clarify the mechanism how teachers’ personal background variables and work-related variables affect their job satisfaction. A survey on job satisfaction of elementary school teachers of normal classes with hearing impaired students in Central Taiwan (i.e. Miaoli County, Taichung County, Taichung City, Changhua County and Nantou County ) was conducted on the basis of a general investigation, A questionnaire was used as study tools under the title of “ A Study in Job Satisfaction of the Elementary School Teachers in the Hearing Impairment Education”.As 414 copies of questionnaire were sent out, with 302 valid. According to this study, we can come up with the following conclusions: 1. Most teachers of students with hearing impairment in elementary schools are not so satisfied with their work. It also points out that the current working environment is not good enough, there is still room for improvement. 2. The sequence of job satisfaction is as follows(high-low): Interpersonal relationship, school administration, teaching environment, on-job training and teachers’ workload. 3. Some personal and work-related variables of these teachers absolutely play a critical part on their job satisfaction. The variables are as follows: ages, levels of education, different specialization backgrounds and teaching experiences in normal and hearing impairment classes. Also,due to resource sharing the size of school plays a vital role. 4.According to the sequence in the open questionnaires for enriching profound study and analysis on the research topic , 81 ones answered in the 302 efficient questionnaires,including positive supporting for Inclusion Education(20 persons)suggestions towards school administration (9 persons),advice about teaching enviroment(12 persons),opinions for interpersonal relationship,proposals to on-job training(20 persons)and teacher’s workload(7 persons) This survey, as it shows, offers something meaningful for a further study to be made by the administration units of schools and the like.
