As the result shows, the lactation length of sows significantly affects the total pigs born alive per sow per year and the farrowing rate.As for the total pigs born alive per sow per year, for those whose lactation length ranges from 3 to 4 weeks, the numbers are 22.87 and 22.46 which is significantly more than those of 5 to 6 weeks, which are 21.92 and 21.34 (P < 0.05). As for the farrowing rate of sows, the lowest occurs when the length is 3weeks, only 78.89%, which is significantly lower than those of 4-6 weeks, which are 80.93%、81.20%and 81.26% (P < 0.05). On the other hand, the result of the statistics also shows the parity、mating month、weaning month、the interation of lactation length、mating month、weaning month and the interation of parity、mating month、weaning month have an influence on the reproductive performance of sows.As for the influnce of parity on sows, the parity 2 of the pigs born alive per sow per year、weaning-to-service interval and farrowing-to-service interval are all worse than that of the parity 3-9 of sows (P < 0.05). As for the influnce of mating month and weaning month on sows, sows mating or weaning from Jan. to Mar. and from Oct. to Dec. their pigs born alive per sow per year is more than that of the mating and weaning form Mar. to Stp. sows (P < 0.05). As for the interation of lactation length、mating month and weaning month, they significantly affect the litters per sow per year、pigs born alive per sow per year and weaning-to-service interval. As for the interation of parity、mating month and weaning month, they significantly affects the litters per sow per year、farrowing rate and farrowing-to-service interval. Ming-Yu Lu, Ph.
