Retaining Childlike Innocence –
Exploration of Self-innermost Fantasy World
Artistic creation is the path of how the author’s mind presents to his life and inner spirit, and it displays its special value through a formality. This artistic production idea will be defined as the exploration of “exploration of self-innermost fantasy world”; the source comes from the childhood emotion to dolls and the experience of raising children. Therefore, I wish to draw back to the mind of children, to experience and to explore all the feelings originates from a daughter’s love to the doll; by way of developing subconscious spiritual resource makes the cloth doll craft nature and the solid realistic oil painting art through my own art language to transfer into the picture for the spiritual feeling, and makes the imagination and play world in the individual production to carry out one’s own fantasy and the wish of freedom pursuing.
Therefore, the purposes for this artistic production study are: (1) To analyze/explore the spiritual meaning of self production. (2) To adopt the subject through the traced-back experience of self growth, personal fantasy and children’s behavior in playing to analyze and construct personal production ideas and the style of beauty sense. (3) To look for the literature references in psychology, aesthetics and other related artistic theories to form the theory basis for the production development. (4) Through the test by various materials to research, develop and experiment different using materials and skills to present the production subjects to break through the old style in painting expression. (5) To explain the external meaning of works and induce individual way of production and traits, and makes the work to meet the quality demand of spirits. (6) To integrate the way of mind in the production and accomplishment procedures and theories, by reviewing the writing of research thesis and the production of a series of works to find the possible future production direction for the development. And the study methods to be adopted are: （a） Action research method, （b） Quality thinking method, and （c） Theory analysis method.
In this artistic production research, the author tries to present the mind memory track and the imagination by autobiography style for the painting, and makes the subject of doll in the speculation painting realm, by removing the mind to reveal private oneself, and to make the production spirit to achieve the maximum freedom, and help the floating imagination world to find a resting dreaming garden. The structure of this study includes: The first chapter is the introduction which clears up separately the motivation and purposes, the method and process, and the scope of this study. The second chapter is for literature exploration which includes the production related psychology, aesthetics, related art production schools and the influence of female artists in the art history. The third chapter is the exploration of production realization and the form, including expressed contents of the creation, the application of materials and the analysis of the changes of styles. The fourth chapter is the explanation of works. Statements and explanations are made for the creation ideas for the serious of works. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. To conclude the review and results of the whole production study procedures, and also offer thinking about the direction for future development.
