Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處語文教學碩士班 === 94 === ABSTRACT Hui-Yueh Fon is an elementary school teacher with a great interest in children’s literature. His publications featuring children’s poetry, folktales, stories, assays, and nursery rhyme songs have earned him great recognition among the children’s book writers of his generation in Taiwan.Mr. Fon also has been dedicating his retirement time to the editing of elementary school textbooks in language arts. His works have provided valuable resources for curriculum and instruction of language arts. The purpose of this study is based on Mr. Fon’s books featuring Hakka nursery rhyme songs. The study began with a review of Mr. Fon’s biography and his publications in children’s literature, with a focus on Hakka nursery rhymes. It was followed by the content and format analysis of Mr. Fon’s works to demonstrate his writing theory and composing styles. A case study on the class of 6th graders taught by the author was then carried out to experiment various lesson plans for language instruction, which were combined with curriculum of Mr. Fon’s Hakka nursery rhyme songs. Results of the study affirmed Mr. Fon’s belief in the significance of Hakka children’s literature and the contributions he has made to the development of Hakka nursery rhymes. Finally, suggestions for continuing studies of Mr. Fon’s Hakka nursery rhymes were offered by the author to serve as an inspiration of other researchers and educators.
