Summary:碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 特殊教育教學碩士班 === 94 === The Curriculum Design and Implementation of the Course, “Knowing Disabled Students”, with Picture Books Abstract The goal of this study was to develop the curriculum of “knowing disabled students” by using picture books, hoping to guide the normal students to accept disabled students with positive attitudes, understanding and solving the problems in the teaching activities, finally evaluating the influence of the curriculum on normal students in regular classroom. The study was conducted by action research, referencing the situation mode proposed by Skilbeck. We used investigations, interviews, observation, tests, and document analysis to proceed the study. The object was a first grade class in a primary school in Ping-Tung County. There were 32 normal students and one disabled student in this regular classroom. The study lasted 10 weeks. The summaries were as follows: 1. We designed six teaching curriculums especially for six kinds of disabled students by using the assist of picture books. 2. We used 14 kinds of teaching activities in this six teaching curriculums. 3. The teaching process included pre-preparation, inspiration, teaching by picture books, teaching by various teaching ways which referred to the living experience of the students, evaluation by learning sheet, reviewing by the feedback data, proposing solutions, and ending the curriculum by “making booklets”. 4. The solutions of the problems in teaching process could be divided into two parts, before the teaching and in the teaching. Before the teaching: we should (1) prepare necessary hardware and software, learning evaluation sheets, and questionnaires, (2) explain the purpose and possible positive influence of the curriculum to the parents, (3) Invite the special student’s parents to join the curriculum, and (4) establish positive mind in advance to all of the participants. In the teaching: We should (1) take care of the differences between individuals, (2) avoid the possible 2nd harm to the disabled student, and treat the class affairs fairly, (3) collect all of the problems and information in the curriculum, review it, and respond it in the next teaching curriculum. 5. We concluded that by implementing the curriculum, “knowing disabled students”, the normal students could achieve three teaching goals, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral tendencies. Normal students would show caring and acceptance, such kind of reception attitude, when facing special students. 6. According to the analysis result of satisfaction questionnaire, we found that most of the students (72.7%) liked very much the teaching ways of “knowing disabled student”. Higher percentage students (78.8%) liked very much the picture books in six teaching curriculum. “Watch Movie” was the most favorite teaching ways.
