This research deems that Educational Garden deeply possess country characteristics, in additional, paddy rice educational garden can provide many subject studies which related to books and hand down the intimate relationships of people and the land. Through the results of teaching materials which analyzed by Kang Hsuan Educational Publishing Group, discovering that the closed relation between the connotations of paddy rice and subjects, it provides the most positive reasons that teachers guide students to attend the activity of “Paddy Rice Cultural Experience” hold by farmer’s association. In order to understand how the Education Garden proceed the outdoor educational activities, the researches bring up integral outdoor instructional modes, take the paddy rice cultural experience hold by Kaofu rice farm in Hualien City for example, it emphasized that outdoor instruction is an integrated process and also led classes carry out an outdoor teaching activity. Through the resources on the spot, this thesis survey the leisure agriculture resources of Kaofu rice farm owned by Hualien city farmer’s association to discuss what resources can change into concrete teaching resources, by talking about this topic, we hope to understand teachers anticipates for paddy rice educational farms, regarding it as the reference materials of adding the instructional activities and improving garden fields. In conclusion, the researcher point out the ideal paddy culture educational farm according to the result. The whole finding of this research is explained in three aspects: First is the relation between paddy rice culture and subject studies: (1) The connotations of paddy rice turn up at different stages in Kang Hsuan’s elementary school’s teaching materials, to differentiate in subjects, the society field is of the most; to differentiate in students’ grades, the middle grade’s students is of the most. (2) Paddy rice culture is one of the resources on the spot, on general aspect of the country resources, it spreads in many cities and counties. Through outdoor teaching activities, we can not only achieve the recreational purpose outside the school but also provides the chances to experience the country. (3) Take the activity of the paddy rice cultural experience for example, the outdoor instructional mode “PKWLA”, providing teachers the preparations before the activity, the guides in proceeding and the integrated discussion of integrated outdoor instructional mode after finishing the activity. Second is the integration of Educational Garden and outdoor teaching: (1) Educational Garden is provided with the country resources and the diverse teachings in the garden. (2) To cooperate with the educational organization is good to carry out the outdoor teaching activities. Third is the development of ideal paddy rice educational garden: (1) The garden supplies the place for outdoor teaching during working days and the common people can experience agriculture life on weekends. (2) The garden merges the production, the life, and the ecosystem. In addition to the country life, there are country education, agricultural education, environmental education, ecosystem and culture in the garden. (3) We can carry out the educational ideas and experience the reality with the systematic arrangement. There are some suggestions for teachers to handle outdoor teaching and the development of Paddy Rice Educational Garden: First is the suggestion for teachers to hold the outdoor country teaching: (1) Outdoor teaching is not the routine activity, teachers can hold outdoor teaching several times during one semester. (2) By holding outdoor teaching, country teaching would be more fun for students. Teachers can usually use educational garden to carry country teaching out. (3) Schools should emphasize the outdoor teaching, plan the teaching courses with experience activities and make outdoor teaching more efficiently. Second is the .prospects of the Paddy Rice Educational Garden: (1) The cooperation and support between the staffs of farmers' association and the farmers are very important. The agricultural association should guide educational garden to cooperate with the promotion of Paddy Rice Educational Garden which is in order to become the best “Outdoor Classroom”. (2) The managers (3) To cooperate with professional association and create the proper teaching activities for the Educational Garden. (4) To contact with the Education Association and promote outdoor teaching by using the garden. (5) For the city’s point of view, we should promote the country educational functions with the contact between people and the land actively.
