Finally suggestions will be made so that the insoluble trade problems in the past 40 years can be improved . 1.The changing development of the trade relationship between Taiwan and Japan. 1) The situation of import and export. 2) The situation of import and export. 3) The effect and significance to Taiwan industry. 2.The present relationship between Taiwan and Japan. 1) Trade 2) Investment 3) Technical cooperation iv 4) nongovernmental relationship 3.The main factors that lead to the trade deficit between Taiwan and Japan. 1) The colonial experience. 2) The cultural factors : language, idea of value communication and thinking mode. 3) The industrial structure of Taiwan. 4) Triangular trade( The triangular structure of Japan, Taiwan, and America.) 5) Westward movement investment in Mainland China. 4.The door to eliminating deficit. 1) Enhance Taiwan’s export to Japan. 2) Reduce Japan’s import to Taiwan. 3) Upgrade Taiwan’s industry. Although there are suplus and deficit between Taiwan and Japan in 1950-60, the amount of deficit was not great, and there was still balance. but from 1960s, the deficit was increasing and up to 2004 the deficit between Taiwan and Japan reached US $30.43 billions, the highest record in history, which has since become the main problem Taiwan has deal with.
